Bessy Liao is a Macroeconomist. Her work lies at the intersection of Macroeconomics, Urban Economics, Labor Economics, and Housing Economics. In particular, she uses search theory and quantitative methods to study frictional labor and housing markets.

Dr. Liao received her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, Irvine, her M.A. in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles, and her B.A. in Mathematics and Economics from New York University.

In her free time, Bessy enjoys exploring cities and learning new skills.
