Blair Middlebrook is an Assistant Professor of Management at the Orfalea College of Business. She earned her PhD in Organizational Behavior from the University of Washington and BBA in Management from Texas Christian University. Prior to beginning her PhD, she worked in the healthcare industry as a Senior Analyst of Operations Innovation at DaVita Inc. in Denver, Colorado.
Her research explores how organizations can foster environments where the unique individuality of each of their members propels organizational and individual flourishing. Some of her current work considers this theme in employee voice behavior and in organizational contexts where the expression of one’s individuality is complicated by outside forces.
Blair grew up in Encinitas, California, but is thrilled to live in San Luis Obispo, as both of her parents and her grandfather all attended Cal Poly, and her great great grandparents even lived in SLO in the early 1900s!
