Returning Students

 

In order to begin the process of returning, please review the following steps:

Step 1: Request a Former Student Evaluation.

This evaluation will confirm which classes are required to finish your degree, and provide confirmation of the catalog rights you have based on the dates you have attended Cal Poly. These details are crucial to academic planning, and we recommend completing this request before enrolling.

Step 2: Submit your Application

You will need to complete a returning student application through the CSU Application portal, for the same major you were pursuing when you last attended Cal Poly. Please note there are deadlines for each quarter of the academic year.

Step 3: Meet with an Academic Advisor

Once you have received your Former Student Evaluation, and have been successfully readmitted to Cal Poly, we recommend meeting with an academic advisor to develop a registration plan to complete the remaining degree requirements.
