April is a long-time Central Coast resident. April excels at moving initiatives forward by including the appropriate stakeholders, understanding economic goals, and diving deep into reporting analytics. Her approachable personality and comfort with hard work reflect her core values of collaboration and positive production.

Throughout her career, April has achieved remarkable milestones. She drove private event sales resulting in $2.5 million in revenue for a regional whiskey company and designed SLO County’s largest hospitality group from the ground up, cultivating strong networking and relationships within the localized hospitality community.

April’s extensive experience includes working as a private consultant for multiple hotel and hospitality groups, providing expertise, guidance, and professional mentorship. She has also worked for global brands and companies, focusing on international luxury events. April also has experience negotiating and implementing high stakes event contracts.

April holds a bachelor’s degree in communication from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and has served as a guest lecturer at Cal Poly and Leadership SLO. Her dedication to two children, volunteerism, education, wine and food, and her experience as a certified mediator and restorative justice facilitator reflect her diverse interests and commitment to making a positive impact.

April’s goal is to bring her broad experience to the Orfalea College of Business, where she aims to continue driving innovation and fostering collaboration.
