Dr. Lepore is a theoretical economist with research interests in Microeconomic Theory, Industrial Organization, Game Theory, and Defense Economics. His research has been published in a variety of academic journals including Journal of Economic Theory, Journal of Mathematical Economics, and International Journal of Industrial Organization. Dr. Lepore has also published in the of field defense economics, including the edited book Assessing War: The Challenge of Measuring Success and Failure (Georgetown University press).

Since at Cal Poly, Dr. Lepore has taught Introductory and Intermediate Microeconomics, Industrial Organization, Mathematical Economics and Graduate Microeconomics. He won the 2011 & 2012 teaching award for Outstanding Faculty in Economics and the OCOB Emeritus Outstanding Faculty award in 2016.
