Dr. Miranda Yin is an Assistant Professor of Marketing in the Orfalea College of Business. She received her marketing Ph.D. from the University of Kansas. Her research interests are in prosocial consumer behavior, relationship norms, incentives and branding. Specifically, Dr. Yin is passionate about developing strategies to nudge consumers to engage in prosocial behavior, and designing effective marketing communication tools for both non-profits and social enterprises.

Dr. Yin attempts to conduct research that is grounded in theory, yet has clear real-world application. To that end, in addition to employing research methods such as experiments, behavioral studies and surveys, she partners with various organizations to conduct field tests, such as the Salvation Army, Headquarters Counseling Center, and the Learning Center.  Her research has been published in an array of top journals including Journal of Marketing, International Journal of Research in Marketing, and Journal of Product and Brand Management
