Four Orfalea Faculty Members Promoted to Professor; Six Awarded Tenure

Cal Poly President Jeffrey D. Armstrong and Provost and Executive Vice President Cynthia Jackson-Elmoore recently announced the university’s newly promoted professors, including four faculty members promoted to the rank of professor from the Orfalea College of Business. The newly promoted include Mahdi Rastad (Finance), Joongmin Shin (Industrial Technology & Packaging), Taryn Stanko (Management, HRIS) and Kim Westermann (Accounting).

Meanwhile, six Orfalea faculty members were granted tenure. Those include  Adam Bordeman (Accounting); David Chamberlain (Accounting); Katya Vasilaky (Economics); Hamed Ghoddusi (Finance); T.J. Weber (Marketing) and Jim Burleson (Management HRIS). Campus-wide, 59 faculty members were promoted, and 43 were granted tenure, effective in the 2022-23 academic year.
