Alexa Loken is a career coach, educator, and serial entrepreneur focused on helping students and professionals navigate rapidly changing workplaces shaped by AI, organizational change, and evolving workforce expectations. At Cal Poly’s Orfalea College of Business, she teaches organizational behavior, entrepreneurship, business communication, AI literacy, and career readiness, using experiential, team‑based projects to build students’ leadership, collaboration, and durable professional skills.
Alexa is the founder of Loken Careers and has coached thousands of purpose‑driven professionals across tech, government, education, and nonprofits on career strategy, interviewing, and meaningful transitions. Her background spans technical coaching at Indeed, founding a cause‑based marketing firm, co‑founding a recruiting firm for underrepresented talent in tech, and early work in environmental and social impact nonprofits.
Since moving to San Luis Obispo, Alexa has focused on helping career‑changers, aspiring entrepreneurs, and students design impact‑driven careers in human‑centered, AI‑enabled organizations and globally connected workplaces. She especially loves piloting new experiential courses, teaching abroad, and exploring social impact and eco‑focused work.
