Autumn Qui

Autumn Qiu is a lecturer in the Accounting Department at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. She holds a Master of Accountancy from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Applied Statistics from Pennsylvania State University.

Her teaching interests include financial accounting, managerial accounting, financial management, data literacy, and data analytics. She is passionate about helping students develop the analytical and decision-making skills needed to succeed in today’s business environment. Through Cal Poly’s Learn by Doing approach, she incorporates real-world business applications, hands-on projects, and data-driven problem-solving into her courses.

Prior to joining academia, Qiu worked at Ernst & Young (EY), where she gained professional experience serving clients across a variety of industries. Her combined background in accounting, statistics, and industry practice enables her to bring practical insights into the classroom and help students connect academic concepts with professional applications.
