Bing Anderson

Bing Anderson joined the Orfalea College of Business as an Associate Professor of Finance in September of 2004. He holds a B.Eng. in Computer Science, an M.A. in Statistics from the University of Chicago, an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, and a Ph.D. in Economics and Finance from the Department of Management Science and Engineering at Stanford University.

He published five papers in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, a top journal across the natural and social sciences. He also published in other top journals in finance, such as the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis and the Journal of Banking and Finance. His two most recent publications are both solo-authored.

He was nominated for a Cal Poly campus-wide teaching award, received the Fluor Corporation Excellence in Teaching Award, and was recognized by Alpha Epsilon of Being an Attentive and Outstanding Faculty Member.
