Damon Fleming is dean and professor of accounting of the Cal Poly Orfalea College of Business. Previously, Fleming served as dean of the Fogelman College of Business and Economics at the University of Memphis and the William E. Cole director of the Charles W. Lamden School of Accountancy at the Fowler College of Business at San Diego State University.

Fleming currently serves as the secretary and treasurer for Cal Poly Corporation Board of Directors. He previously served as board member for Junior Achievement Memphis and The Campanile Foundation.

Fleming is an external reviewer for AACSB International, which provides quality assurance, business education intelligence and learning and development services for more than 1,000 accredited business schools worldwide.

He earned his doctorate in business (accounting) from Virginia Tech and his B.S. and M.S. degrees in accounting from San Diego State University. Prior to entering academia, he worked in venture capital focused on due diligence, valuation, mergers, acquisitions and public offerings. He is a active CFA® charterholder.
