Holly Newman is currently an accounting lecturer in the Orfalea College of Business. She received her undergraduate degree in business/economics from UC Santa Barbara, and has an active CPA license. 

She worked in public accounting for 32 years, including 15 as a tax partner in the Silicon Valley, before retiring to the local area in 2022. 

Newman's interest and focus is on teaching undergraduates the fundamentals of beginning accounting, and working with the students in the Low Income Tax Clinic.
