Koushik Saha
- Food Packaging
Koushik Saha is a professor in the Department of Industrial Technology, Packaging and Entrepreneurship at the Orfalea College of Business at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. He holds a Ph.D. and an M.S. in packaging from Michigan State University, an M.S. in food science from the University of Florida and a B.S. in agriculture science from G.B. Pant University in India.
Saha teaches Packaging Fundamentals and Quality Evaluation of Packaged Products and advises the packaging minor program. He serves as faculty supervisor for two instructional-related activity programs, PackExpo and Transpack Forum.
His research focuses on food packaging, distribution and food-package interaction, supported by agencies including the USDA and FAA. He is a principal investigator of the Cal Poly Packaging Research Consortium. He has published over 30 peer reviewed journal articles and 25 conference proceedings, and coordinates student programs including the Packaging Career Fair, student club and symposium.
