Matt Dudman is director of the Law Program at Cal Poly Maritime Academy, where he lectures in business and economics, as well as law. He also teaches business and music at other local colleges. Mr. Dudman is also a practicing attorney and musician.

Mr. Dudman holds an MBA and bachelor’s degree from UC Davis and an LL.M. in taxation from San Francisco’s Golden Gate University where he earned a merit scholarship award and graduated with honors. He graduated from Tulane Law School in New Orleans in 1996 with a Juris Doctor degree, earning a European Legal Practice certificate while serving on the Journal of International and Comparative Law.

As an attorney, Mr. Dudman practices real estate, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, securities and employment law. He was formerly assistant general counsel with Copart Inc. and, before that, skyscraper law firms in Sacramento and San Jose, California, and has published articles and spoken in the areas of taxation and securities, as well as in the music field.

Matt has two sons and lives with his wife and runs a professional recording studio (PleasantValleyMusic.com) in Dixon, California.
