Remy Kormos is a lecturer at California Polytechnic State University’s Orfalea College of Business and teaches international business law. He received his LL.M. from UC Berkeley Law School, his J.D. from New York University School of Law and his B.A. in History from Yale.

Mr. Kormos has over 15 years of experience practicing international business law at leading law firms in New York, Paris and San Francisco, and as in-house corporate counsel. He advised clients on general corporate matters, securities law compliance and cross-border mergers and acquisitions.

In addition to private practice, Mr. Kormos spent over 17 years serving as an advisor on commercial law and business regulation reform initiatives in low- and middle-income countries across Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America. His research interests include comparative commercial law, business environment reform and law and economic development. He has published journal articles as well as technical reports and practice guides for the US Agency for International Development, the UK Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office and the European Commission.
