Trisha Daughtrey
Trisha Daughtrey, CPA, MSA, serves as director of Cal Poly’s Low Income Taxpayer Clinic (LITC) and Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Clinic, two senior project programs that provide valuable tax services to the local community while giving students hands-on professional experience.
A Cal Poly alumna, Daughtrey earned her B.S. in business administration with a concentration in accounting in 2004 and her M.S. in accounting in 2020. Prior to joining the faculty, she built a diverse career in accounting, finance, human resources, and taxation, including roles in the hospitality, renewable energy, and public accounting industries.
Since 2013, Daughtrey has taught Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, and Federal Taxation for Individuals. She is passionate about helping students connect classroom concepts with real-world applications and preparing them for successful careers in accounting and tax.
Outside of Cal Poly, she enjoys spending time outdoors, cooking, and raising her three children.
