Role Overview

As President, I lead the Business Council board and serve as key liaison between Clubs/Student Services/Dean’s Office & Administration/ASI. I work to expand the Business Council’s role, increasing transparency between ASI, student services, clubs, organizations, and the Dean’s Office. Additionally, I schedule and chair the Business Council meetings 3-4 times each quarter to address student issues including but not limited to DEI, mental health, club engagement, and school policy.

Why I joined BUS Council

As a member of the Business Council, I feel privileged to be part of a vibrant and diverse community of students. It has allowed me to observe firsthand the interactions of the various OCOB programs that contribute to creating an engaging and productive environment. OCOB’s collaborative nature is what sets it apart, and it’s thrilling to be part of such an inclusive community. I’m eager to collaborate with other OCOB leaders to ensure that every student feels a sense of belonging at our college.

ASI Vice Chair of University Union Advisory Board, VP of Events of Information Systems Association

Role Overview

As COO, I am in charge of tracking financial information and managing the Business Council budget, maintaining our Google Drive, facilitating board member elections, and training other clubs on finance and operations best practices.

Why I joined BUS Council

I personally loved the experience of being in the various OCOB clubs and organizations and found it was a great way to meet new people and learn new things. While serving on various club boards for over three years, I started to notice challenges and problems with the organization and communication between different organizations. Serving on BUS Council board has allowed me to help bridge the gaps in organization and communication between the various organizations on campus.
